The Ultimate Dream Fulfillment
Written by Brenda Gatlin

The Lord has been challenging me lately. So, I want to challenge you in the same way. I want to challenge you to start thinking outside of your usual think box. The word challenge means to invite someone to engage in a contest. Have you noticed what a contest it is to get your brain to step outside of its typical way of thinking? It is most definitely a challenge!

I want to challenge you with what the Lord has been challenging me: to dream and to dream big. You know, the way you dreamed when you were young. At that time of your life, you typically believed that given some time and diligence, all things were possible.

The truth is God has never put limits on your life.

Real dreaming begins to take place when you are seeing all the possibilities. When you see the possibilities you will be motivated to make plans and set goals. Emotional energy, passion and zeal start to arise and life becomes fun again!

I want to share with you three things the Lord spoke to my heart during my time with Him.

1. Dream great possibilities

The definition of the word dream is: a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal.

The definition of the word possibility is: that of a promising nature or able to happen.

2. Dream the ultimate fulfillment

The definition of the word ultimate is: the best achievable or imaginable of its kind.

The definition of the word fulfillment is: satisfaction or happiness as a result of fully developing one’s abilities.

3. Amazing results

The definition of the word amazing is: causing great surprise and wonder; startlingly impressive; astonishing.

Anything that is found in God’s Holy inspired written Word, we can have.

Anything that is grounded and supported by scripture is God ordained.

In Numbers chapter 13, God is challenging Israel to dream, and to dream big. They were to strategize and plan based on God’s promise, and educate themselves for the ultimate fulfillment of the dream.

God sent them there to expand their vision – not to doubt His promise.

Numbers 13:1

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

God had magnificent plans. God had an ultimate dream for the children of Israel, a promised land. But before they could enjoy the fulfillment of it and make it their own, He wanted them to spy out the land of promise (Numb.13:17). They were supposed to search out the land, and to see the possibilities (Numb. 13:18).

However, all they could dream, think or imagine were the impossibilities.
They were not focusing on all that God had promised them.

Joshua and Caleb could see the ultimate dream fulfillment. The dream was not too big for them. Why? I believe it was because God was not too big to fit into their schedule.

Psalm 119:130

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Times with God give you the ability to dream the ultimate dream. God is the One Who gives light to your dreams, and your goals. Only He opens up ways to fulfilling those dreams. He shows you the path of development. He leads and guides you into the plans and purposes He has for you.
